AIRZONE PORTABLE
Almost ready for the tip this dual wave Airzone needed a new speaker grill (I used rattan from a cane head-board) as with many portables the chassis was in fairly good condition, so was just cleaned up and couupling caps etc replaced. The case was also cleaned and polished with two shades of brown boot polish.
AIRZONE CONSOLE
In a very poor condition, rusty and partly eaten by ants, it was completely stripped and the chassis re-painted and re-bulit. The cabinet was also stripped and filled and glued where necessary, followed by several coast of estapol.
A badly worn STC 500 celluloid dial was photographed with a light behindit, the photo was photocopied to A4 size, a black felt tip pen used to fill in the missing black, then reduced to it's origional size. Now I have a scanner I have scanned the finished dial, printed it on a ligh green paper and got it laminated.
BREVILLE CONSOLE model 173
The first radio I bought from an HRSA auction back in 1992.
